After a few years of research and development, I’m really excited about the launch of Fleet – an app that becomes your virtual air travel assistant when you fly. Fleet combines commercial flight data with your and others’ crowd-sourced data to provide real-time flight updates (not to mention airport directories, good-to-know facts about airline policy, and current information about current airport conditions).
Did I mention the app is free? Grab the app here!
As the app launches, we at Fleet would like to thank all the people who have supported Fleet as itwent from a student project, to an award-winning FAA design concept, to an independent startup company. There are too many people to thank for one post, but special thanks to: Dr. Deborah Boehm-Davis (Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, George Mason University); Debra Ross (Former Program Coordinator for the University Design Competition for Addressing Airport Needs); Linda Howard (Ambassador to the Airport Cooperative Research Program); Lisa Sullivan and Henry J. Smith (HARRIS Corporation); and Marion Brophy (Director of Communications, Air Traffic Control Association). From all of us at Fleet to you – THANK YOU!
